Here is a discussion on the motors we use and their theory of operation: www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_1558046/tm.htmWhen one of the leads is bad, as Trent found by using the resistance setting of his DVM (digital volt meter), the drive sequence to the coils is wrecked. - thus the twitchy response. Using a DVM in this fashion checks the continuity of the wiring.
